What they learn
Three terms a year, ten sessions each. Autumn builds hand skills with yarn and beads, Spring moves to needle and thread, and Summer turns to fixing, building and looking after things at home.
Everything they make goes home
Finger knitting and French knitting first, then jumbo needles and the "in, over, through, off" rhyme.
Safe needle habits, running stitch, joining and stuffing, and sewing on a button that stays on.
Chunky crochet chains, repeating bead patterns, and cords turned into mats, handles and keyrings.
Patching, darning, gluing, book repair and replacing missing parts — starting with "can it be fixed?"
Places and fees
All materials, tools and take-home makes are included. We work largely with donated and reclaimed materials, so fees cover staffing, planning, insurance and the kit children keep.
Taster session
£10
One hour, no commitment. Come and make a finger-knitted bracelet before you book the term.
Full term
£140
Ten weekly sessions, all materials, a skills certificate and a termly showcase for families.
Why parents choose us
A repair mindset
Children learn to ask "can it be fixed?", have a go, and judge whether it worked — rather than replacing things.
Real hand skills
Fine motor control, patience and accuracy built through knitting, stitching and threading. Effort counts more than neatness.
Useful things for home
Drawstring bags, storage jars, drawer dividers and hanging pockets — plus a mended item every term.
Safe, structured sessions
Enhanced-DBS staff, clear tool and needle routines, and the same Look, Listen, Try, Tidy shape every week.
